Ryan Reynolds’ upcoming time travel movie is heading to Netflix.
The Deadpool star is gearing up again with filmmaker Shawn Levy for the adventure-thriller – which, at one point, was going by the name Our Time is Adam – for the outing, having just worked with him on video game-inspired comedy Free Guy, which is set to hit cinemas in December.
Paramount was originally developing the project. Now though, the streaming service and Skydance, the duo that recently released Charlize Theron-fronted action The Old Guard, are in charge of bringing it to the small screen.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, both Reynolds and Levy will produce. The latter is set to star as a man tasked with travelling back in time, meeting his 13-year-old self and acquainting the pair of them with his late father, who just so happens to be around the same age he is in the present.
Written by Jonathan Tropper (This is Where I Leave You), the film has been trying to get made since 2012 and reportedly had Tom Cruise attached to Reynolds’ role initially. It appears as if the team aren’t letting anything slow them down now though as filming is set to kick off in November.

Reynolds is no stranger to appearing in Netflix Original movies, having starred in Michael Bay’s 6 Underground last year.
Just recently, Netflix revealed the film to have been one of its top 10 most-watched films ever, so it seems safe to assume that the platform is hoping for similar success with Reynolds and Levy’s latest, too.
