From driving scenic byways to gliding through town on a Segway, we have gathered a few ways to take an outdoor tour of a new city or revisit a family favorite this summer. Great River Road
This National Scenic Byway runs parallel of the Mississippi River for 250 miles through 33 charming riverside communities. Almost two-thirds of the Great River Road runs through or along protected natural areas, offering plenty of scenic spots for hiking, biking, fishing, paddling, birdwatching and other outdoor recreation activities this summer! This unique, create-your-own-adventure type of trip is a great way to explore the West coast of Wisconsin at your own pace.
